Re: Coaches - Is there a "selling" plan for someone to be appointed?

Below is a comment i had received and i want to share it with the readers of the blog. The comment seem to "throw" a view that takes on the issue directly.

Is there truth in the comment? For you all to judge.

Text of comment is as follows:

"Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Re: Appointment of foreign coach - "Could it be an...":

Ghandi,

It is very hilarious to following this article!. The last few comments are also very interesting to note. Other blogs are promoting their choice of coaches, and there are also some coaches who are "selling" themselves.

Your regular comment about power struggle in the management level of the MHF has now shifted to the coaches?

Some comments are posted by the coaches themselves or the working group judging by the contents.

I hope the delay in MHF to hire the foreign coach will not trigger a situation where the coaching qualities of the respective teams are compromised.

Frankly speaking we may not even secure the intended foreign coach judging by the way the “potential candidate’s” predicament of having to endure the news leak before the appointment.

Malaysia may just have to hire a local! But how many locals are actually qualified and ready? "

Gandhi,

I would to draw your attention to the "baby-for-sale scam".

Maybe the next national coach can be appointed like the modus operandi of the “auntie” - "through word of mouth".

I will be heading there (Port Klang/Banting) this weekend not to buy a baby but to have seafood dinner with some old friends and my "uncle".

It will be interesting going into 2010 and follow the development of the national coach appointment.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.

Coach should be selected based on merits...not sentiments..

BERNAMA REPORTS:

Not Mine But Public Money, To Be Spent Sensibly - Zolkples
PUTRAJAYA, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- National Sports Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Zolkples Embong said the Sepak Takraw Association of Malaysia (PSM) must realise that the allocation channelled by the NSC was public money.

"It is not my money but public money, so the NSC must spend the money accordingly," he told reporters when asked on the concern voiced by certain quarters in PSM that the allocation for the association might be reduced next year.".........

Will this echo for the rest of the associations????When all the money spent does not produce results .... tabung just gets empty when certain people places higher demands.

CHEAP MEANS NO GOOD??? EXPENSIVE MEANS GOOD?????? Laugh our hearts out.

1970 United Kingdom Coaching strategy describes the role of a coach as one that enables the players to achieve levels of performance to a degree that may not have been possible if left to his own endeavours.

1979 The International Qlympic Academy in Greece said that the wise coach develops not only the fullest physical potential in his charges but also those capacities and habits of mind and body which will enrich the players in their later years.

I also believe the role of the coach is to create the right conditions for learning to happen, keep players motivated all the time with excitement and enthusiasm.

But what is happening here in Malaysia. Year 2009 is about to end. 2010, With so many plans ahead, MHF has still not decided the future and direction of hockey malaysia.

Lets sing along the Negara Ku if the MHF makes the right decision. if not, let the along singh the along song.

Give it to the SSBJ Coach, the principal has allowed him to coach a National League team. For the year 2010 he will handle the School team fot the Junior League and also the senior league team but all the students whom want to play the Senior league are not allowed to play. So he is the super coach. MHF should make him the chief coach replacing Tai Beng Hai.MOE is sleeping, how can a sports school coach have conflicy of interest. It's all money.
